    Forbes Magazine has released its New Global 2000 List. In the Media arena, Time Warner Inc. retained its Number One position at 51 position globally though a declination from previous rank of 42 in 2004. Forbes took Sales, Profits, Assets, Market Value in account to calculate the worth. Time Warner has 80,000 Employees.

    Followed to Time Warner, where Walt Disney, News Corp., Comcast, Clear Channel Communications ranked as 99, 125, 131, 299 respectively. Sony Corp., was listed under technology hardware and equipment at 123 on the list. Dai Nippon Printing, Japan was the only other home grown Asian company, apart from Sony to make it in the top 500 in the Media segment, standing at 420 with a market value of 12.19 $ billions.

    The revenues of Time Warner were 42.09 $ BNs, profit at 3.33$, Assets at 123.34 $ BNs and Market value at 79.06 $ BNs. Walt Disney's revenues stood at 30.87 $ BNs, profit at 2.38 $, Assets at 55.45 $ BNs and Market value at 57.20 $ BNs.

    News Corp. ranked at 125, had revenues of 23.5 $ BNs, profit of $1.9 $ BNs, assets worth 52.9 $ BNs and the market value was at 50.6 $ BNs. Comcast's revenues were of 20.3 $ BNs, profit of 0.97 $ BNs, assets worth 104.69 $ BNs and a market value at 72.06 $ BNs.

    The advertising space saw the United States Omnicom Group at the top position with 380 rank, the revenues were of 9.75 $ BNs. WPP ranked at 490 position with revenues at 7.33 $ BNs.
