    Star Movies has been watched by more viewers than any other English movie channel in its key markets of India, Singapore and Malaysia. Blockbuster films from April to July included Die Another Day, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Bruce Almighty, and X2: X Men United have received heavy ratings.

    In India, Star Movies is holding top spot as the country’s No. 1 English movie channel, with 22 million people tuning in each week, while in Singapore also, more viewers have tuned into Star Movies than any other Hollywood movie channel according to TAM all areas in India, C&S, 4+, 26/12/04 – 16/07/05, TNS Singapore, Cable, 4+, 01/01/05 – 28/07/05.

    In Malaysia, where substantiated ratings became available in April 2005, Star Movies has consistently outstripped the competition, attracting more viewers and showcasing more top-20 Movies than any other Hollywood movie channel according to AGB Nielsen Media Research, Cable, 6+, 1/4/05-16/7/05.

    Star Movies features exclusive blockbusters from top Hollywood studios 20th Century Fox, Buena Vista (including Walt Disney Pictures, Miramax, Touchstone Pictures, and Hollywood Pictures), MGM / United Artists, Lakeshore, Myriad Pictures and DreamWorks SKG (for India / Pakistan only). Movies released from these studios make their first television appearance in the territory on Star Movies.

    Box office smashes soon to debut on Star Movies include I, Robot, The Day After Tomorrow, Dodgeball, National Treasure, Starsky & Hutch, and Multi-Oscar winner Million Dollar Baby.
