The race is on for one of the most powerful Kerala's media house. With the hullabaloo's in the TV channels and Springer spaniel doing the rounds, Malayala Manorama plans to upsurge some more water in the flooded space. Manorama plans its incursion entry into television media, which is already packed full. Reliable sources reveal to Televisionpoint.com that Manorama dudes plan for this sector, but the genre and that the launch out time is prevaricate.

"When it comes for launch of new medium, one can choose to deal with sense, which will partner you in your business. At Manorama, we believe in passion, experience and new initiatives, and starting a TV news channel is not an exception, it is again partnering our Customers, the loyal audience in a new way. If we move to the television, it would be a full package, a promise to make it a success, including marketing one." A top executive in Manorama says

When queried if Manorama does not plans a news channel, then what else is stored as a second option, Purnendu says, "It would definitely be a Glamour, Fashion and Substance Channel." the executive says

"I don't understand why there is a squeal and squawk, If we (Manorama) plans television foray. Every fourth Indian media company is in the TV corporate or plans to enter the business, so where is Manorama an exception." he adds.

Note that recently Asianet and Kairali have take on their third and succeeding channels respectively. Doordarshan, Surya TV, Indiavision, Mata Amritanandamayi Matt initiated Amrita Channel, Christian orientation channels namely Shalom, Jeevan are the other offerings for Keralites. Vitally, the Malayalam channels are in the superior position for returns, the scenario enters the realm of fantasy as these channels have more revenues from other countries, where the number of Malayalees is on top, specifically in the Gulf and United States.

Finally, it is observed that applications for five more Malayalam channels is awaiting with the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, though as rumor has it, Manorama has not applied for the Uplinking permission.
