As HR director for the US agency, Tritt, 40, will be responsible for further re-aligning the human resources function to focus on attracting, developing, rewarding and retaining Leo Burnett USA's talent.
"Jeff has equal parts experience working at an agency, working as a client, and serving as a consultant. He knows the advertising business and knows Leo Burnett, having spent the first five years of his career here," said Rich Stoddart, president of Leo Burnett USA. "Importantly, he understands our culture and will be able to use his outside experience to shape an organization focused on performance and development, while delivering success and efficiency for our clients."
Tritt has worked in Leo Burnett Worldwide's Global Organizational Development group since June 2005, spearheading the agency's Worldwide Climate Survey and assisting in the development of a talent management system. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2005, he consulted with clients leveraging his client-side, agency and organizational development background to assist organizations in improving performance across a broad range of industries. His consulting clients include: Donatos Pizza, Sprint, Fazoli's Italian Restaurants, United Parcel Service and General Electric. He assisted these clients in a variety of capacities including organizational design and structure, broad scale change initiatives, client/agency relationship improvement, marketing partner selection and configuration, as well as team and individual development initiatives.
"Leo Burnett is filled with amazingly talented people, and I am looking forward to helping the organization build a climate that supports creativity, innovation and growth for both our clients and our people. There is such a great tradition to build on and a great deal of excitement about the future," said Tritt.
Tritt began his career at Leo Burnett in 1988 as an account executive on Heinz Pet Products, Philip Morris and Miller Brewing Company. He then joined Bates in 1994 where he served as national account supervisor on Wendy's International.
Tritt became director of marketing at Sherwin-Williams in 1996. He had P&L responsibility for the Dutch Boy, Ralph Lauren, Martha Stewart and Pratt & Lambert paint brands; managed consumer research; and led successful product introduction and acquisition integration efforts.
After earning a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Denison University, Tritt expanded his management and strategic skills by attending the University of Virginia's Darden School of Executive Development. Tritt is also a graduate of Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management, where he earned a master's degree in organization development and analysis. |
