Suman Chattopadhyay, Executive Producer, Star Ananda has put in his papers. Chattopadhyay came on board for a temporary assignment from the ABP Group and MCCS has relieved him with immediate effect.
Chattopadhyay had a distinguished career in print journalism, he was Executive Editor of the Bengali daily Ananda Bazar Patrika prior to his moving to the electronic media, an official release says.
Star Ananda is the 24-hour Bengali news channel that went on air from June this year and Media Content & Communications Services (MCCS) is a 74:26 % joint venture between Star and Aanda Bazar Patrika (ABP), which runs the channel.
