To rejoice this moment, the channel has unveiled a new logo, to appeal to Gen X and for the channel to reinvent itself. Besides the new logo, the channels has unleashed a range of on-air and on-ground initiatives for the next quarter with an eye on the festival season.

The brand has grown in leaps and bounds and the characters have acquired iconic status. Constantly evolving through in-depth research and updating our knowledge of Indian kids, Cartoon Network today can proudly call itself the resident kids’ expert among television channels."
"Between them, the two networks occupy 75 per cent of the kids' channel shares, and of the top 100 programme episodes that are aired, 92 are on Cartoon Network and the remaining eight on Pogo," said Anshuman Misra, Managing Director, Turner International.
For Diwali, Cartoon Network will premier seven animated feature films including Balto, Alvin & Chipmunks - Meet The Wolfman, Thumbelina, Ramayana, and Vikram Betaal. In addition, it will air the fifth season of Pokemon: Master Quest as well as the second season of Beyblade V Force.
Pogo too will air some Hollywood blockbusters like Baby's Day Out, Home Alone, Richie Rich and two Harry Potter films. New shows such as Sabrina - The Teenage Witch, Woody Woodpecker and Malgudi Days would be aired.
Toon Cricket too will enter its fifth year and former Pakistan and Australian skippers Wasim Akram and Mark Waugh are expected to join the fun. The 'Tri-Toon Triangular Try Anything Tournament' will have Akram and Waugh hopping on to the field to battle for the trophy. |
