Welcome, good evening, vanakkam, sat sriakal, aadaab, Amitabh Bachchan says as he begins the episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 2. He also says, Inda Amitabh Bachchan ungal kaaga thoguthu vazhangum nigalchi, Kaun Banega Crorepati 2 meaning, This is Amitabh Bachchan welcoming you to the programme Kaun Banega Crorepati made for you, but on Star Vijay, which telecasts the dubbed version.

Coming on the same lines, Sun TV, the regions No. 1 network is launching 'Thanga Vettai', an Gold Hunt show, which begins from November 26 on Saturdays and Sundays, between 9 PM and 10 PM. The show is hosted by Ramya Krishnan, a leading Tamil actress and is being produced by Radaan Mediaworks. The show will taken an special format of innovating in Gold, as the yellow metal is the white money here in the south.

Note that the Tamil-speaking Amitabh show is aired on Star Vijay on the same time in the 9 PM to 10 PM slot on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and it is a weekend chart-topper. The Tamil version of KBC 2 has not only increased the KBC 2 viewership but also the participation of the Tamils has increased. Now, it is worth a watch if KBC 2 can compete with Thanga Vettai, as both the viewers and advertisers are keen to appreciate this formula of asking questions and giving away crores of rupees.
