Aaj Tak, Headlines Today enter US via Echostar

Aaj Tak and Headlines Today, the two of the three channels managed by TV Today have tied up EchoStar's Dish Network, the satellite service provider for South Asian programming in the US, to be available in the US and Canada. This collaboration is expected to help Aaj Tak and Headlines Today reach out to over 100,000 households in the US from today, Oct. 6.

Talking about the need to head for foreign shores, G Krishnan, chief executive officer, TV Today, says, "There was a need to address the large Indian Diaspora in the US. Launching Aaj Tak and Headlines Today on the Echostar Dish Network will offer viewers live news and analysis straight from home right in their living room."

Aroon Purie, chairman and managing director, TV Today, says, "Aaj Tak and Headlines Today have been able to successfully widen the viewership base for news in India. This step will further widen the network’s viewership base internationally."
