Televisionpoint.com Team Struggling channel Sahara One Television seems to have broken the ice and has won viewer's hearts, marching quite ahead of Zee TV, as it claims, in the primetime slot with the 'Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki’ offering.
Sahara One Television has recorded a lead over Zee TV, during the weekday (MondayThursday) prime time band, (between 811.30 PM) among CS 4+ homes, for the week ending October 01. The episode aired on Sept. 26 has delivered a TRP of 3.86, while the episode aired on Thursday gave a TRP of 3.56, in the 9 cities TG.
Purnendu Bose, COO, Sahara One Television had said, "These encouraging numbers only go to prove that we are in the right direction and in the coming days it would be our endeavor to maintain this trend and achieve many more new heights. The key channel contributors include driver show Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, produced by Rajshri Productions along with Hare Kkaanch Ki Choodiyan."
With new programming offerings like suspense thriller Kohinoor, the revamped format of India's only Live dial-in game show Dial One Aur Jeeto with anchor Shekhar Suman and Mandira Bedi and a line up of the biggest box-office hits of 2005, the channel hopes to push the ratings further.
Comparatively, If we look at Star's performance, All through the week the top 49 shows are from Star Plus, and the elusive 50th show is from Star One, The Great Indian Laughter Champions. So the younger sibling is fighting to stake its claim. TGILC's episode aired on September 30 has notched a heavy TRP of 7.65, in 9 cities and 5.37 in the Hindi Cities TG. |
