Televisionpoint.com Team Zee TV's Time Bomb has received an extension of 96 episodes and will air thrice a week. Ketan Mehta, who was directing the series, will hand over charge to Gulshan Sachdeva, the man who made Aap Ki Adalat. He says, "The story will now revolve around a Punjabi family and I'm auditioning many people for the lead role."
Meanwhile, Rajeev 'Sujal' Khandelwal is out of the show. "Judging by his popularity, he should have remained. But there were some issues and we did not meet at a common point." Rajeev, who won the MTV Lycra Style Award for the Most Stylish Person on Television (Male), said, "The adrenaline didn't flow and I told Sachdeva then and there."
Lately, the Time Bomb unit threw a surprise party for Rajeev. "It has been great working with Ketan and Deepa. Also, Zee has been kind." What next, Rajeev? "Time Bomb is coming to an end for me, but my sixth sense tells me something exciting is going to happen soon."
Note that the Time Bomb is the same thriller which has received the Delhi HC notice in July this year, issued to producer-director Ketan Mehta, his wife Deepa Sahi and their company Maya Movies on a plea by 20th Century Fox Film Corporation to restrain Zee TV from telecasting Time Bomb teleserial.
At the time of launch Abhijit Saxena, President, Zee TV had said, "Time Bomb is Zee TV's prime property right now. We have left no stone unturned to promote the show and television ratings are a clear indicator of our success. Time Bomb has been able to draw viewers away from their daily dose of drama. With the performance of Time Bomb and the slew of new shows lined up in the coming weeks, Zee TV is on its way to the pivotal position that it long deserved." |
