Ex-Husband of Jennifer Lopez drops lawsuit

Ex-husband No.1 of Jennifer Lopez dropped his lawsuit claiming she fired him as manager of her Pasadena restaurant without cause.

Ojani Noa met Lopez while he worked as a waiter at a Miami restaurant. The two married in 1997 and divorced a year later.

Noa sued Lopez last year in Superior Court, alleging she fired him six months after he took the job at Madre's restaurant for $1,000 a week.

Noa left his position as manager of the Conga Room in Los Angeles before working at the restaurant, the suit said.

In papers filed last week, Noa's attorney David deRubertis asked the court to dismiss the suit with prejudice, which would prevent Noa from refiling.

DeRubertis did not provide a reason in the papers and did not immediately return a call Friday from The Associated Press seeking comment.

Lopez's attorney Barry Hirsch also did not immediately return messages left for him.
