Desperate Housewives to get desi version soon

Televisionpoint.com Team ABC's tardy but wildly popular television show Desperate Housewives will soon have a desi avatar, as Star India COO Sameer Nair revealed that the network has acquired the format rights to Desperate Housewives.
In all probabilities soap empress Ekta Kapoor will be directing the Hindi adaptation and if the banal promiscuity in her shows are anything to go by, then we could have an over-the-top women-oriented show with mindless bimbettes.
"Three years ago, Ekta Kapoor had approached us with this same topic which she had titled Kudiyon ka Zamana. But then the television space wasn't much used to such bold subjects. I think even Ekta shelved the idea later." |
