Bollywood Super Star and host of KBC 2, Amitabh Bachchan is recovering to the maxim, he has beem given the clean chit by the doctors at Lilavati and he can leave the hospital at any time. His discharge papers are already prepared and the medical file is closed.

While on one hand, there is speculation that the Bachchan family wants the Big B to remain at the hospital for a few more days, there are equally strong rumours that Bachchan will leave the hospital on Tuesday night or in the wee hours of Wednesday. However, at the time of going to press, Bachchan was still at Lilavati.

In a three-hour surgery on November 30, the superstar was operated for diverticulitis and has made good progress since. He is now back on a solid food diet.

The actor has been walking about the 11th floor of the hospital and is said to be keen to get back to work. However, according to sources, Jaya and Abhishek Bachchan feel he should rest for a few more days at the hospital. The family also consulted an astrologer on an auspicious date for discharge and any date after December 9 was deemed appropriate.

Star visitors who came to see Bachchan on Tuesday evening included Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, Lata Mangeshkar, Tina and Anil Ambani, Ajay Devgan and Jitendra and Shobha Kapoor.
