Televisionpoint.com Correspondent Zee Sports, is ready to telecast the 20-20 World Cricket Classic event, organised by the Get Fit Foundation and Blakesport.
Over 100 of the greatest international cricketers are assembling in Bermuda for the April 2006 20-20 World Cricket Classic. Legends such as Ajay Jadeja, Joel Garner, Robin Smith, Aravinda de Silva, Mike Gatting, Martin Crowe, Gary Kirsten, Clive Rice and many more will be gracing the cricket field in Bermuda from 23 April 2006 to engage in the battle of the Titans. The series is slated to be held in Bermuda from April 23 to April 29, according to a media release.
Fully endorsed and financially supported by the Bermuda Government, the Premier will open this inaugural event with Classic teams from West Indies, England, New Zealand, Australia, Sri Lanka, India, South Africa and Bermuda. This new and exciting 20 over format, played over a 7 day period with 2 games per day hosted at Bermuda's National Sports Centre, will showcase cricket's legends representing 3 decades. Channel Five (UK), ESPN Star Sports (Asia), Ten Sports (Asia, Middle East), CMC (Caribbean), Sky TV (New Zealand), MNET Supersport (Africa) and Fox Sports (Australia) have joined Zee to telecast the event in the respective regions.
The event will be covered by the UK production company Sunset+Vine, which will produce a one hour highlights programme. The series will be produced and directed by Gary Franses.
