M&C Saatchi expands with new accounts, staff

Televisionpoint.com Correspondent M&C Saatchi India after scooping the VLCC Personal Care account, previously handled by JWT, has added two new accounts to mark the beginning of the year, and has also appointed a new creative team.
The agency, which began operations in mid-2005, was recently awarded the new briefs for a new luminous inverter brand from SAR Silicon Systems and a cigarette brand Jaisalmer from GPI.
According to M&C Saatchi India chairman and CEO Kamal Oberoi, all of the accounts moved following credentials presentations, with VLCC and Luminous accounts woth approximately Rs 10 crore (Rs 7 crore for VLCC).
Meanwhile, the agency has also hired Vaybhav Singh and Swami Anand Tirth to take on the roles of creative directors. Singh arrives from Saatchi & Saatchi, while Tirth was previously at Ogilvy & Mather.
