If the long running soaps have ever enticed you to be a part of the industry, here's a chance for you. Come June 7, and the popular Virani family of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is all set to add some new family members. Following a 20-year leap, the show will have its fifth generation now. And to find these fresh faces, the production house is launching a talent hunt across Delhi, Chandigarh and Simla.

Walk-in auditions have been planned in the three northern cities of New Delhi, Chandigarh and Shimla. The dates for audition in each city are April 29 and 30, 2006 in New Delhi, May 1, 2006 in Shimla and May 2, 2006 in Chandigarh. The Ekta Kapoor headed creative team of Kyunki…. is stepping out of Mumbai to search for these new faces.

Says Ekta Kapoor, "We are always on the look out for fresh talent but this is very special since we are looking for the next generation of the Virani family. The highlight of this talent hunt is the search for Krishnatulsi who takes the mantle of Tulsi from Smriti Irani who in turn takes over the mantle of Baa."

Elaborating on the storyline, Shivani Singh Chauhan, creative head, Kyunki ..., says, "Krishnatulsi's entry is going to be on the issue of female infanticide. Tulsi will meet Krishnatulsi on the banks of the Ganga in Haridwar. Krishnatulsi will be a shadow of Tulsi's character. We will certainly show a generation gap between Tulsi and Krishnatulsi, she will be modern but with her values intact,"

The auditions are open to professional actors, models, theatre artists and the general public in the 18 to 25 years age group. Good diction, brilliant attitude and acting skills are factors critical in being short-listed.
