Home Cable to distribute 4 European channels in India

Home Cable, one of India's privately held multi-operating systems companies, will distribute four channels in India, the company has signed an agreement with Europe's Thema TV. The channels to be introduced are EuroNews, Trace TV, C Music and Luxe TV.
Vikki Choudhry, Managing Director, Home Cable, said, "We are just awaiting the approval from the I&B Ministry. Our channels can be currently seen on Eytel Sat W5 Satellite. Our channels are metro-centric and our content is very niche. The four channels would be launched in India under an exclusive agency agreement with Thema TV that is founded by François Thiellet, founder and manager of successful TV channels such as MCM, MUZZIK and Fashion TV. Thema TV specialises in the development and distribution of thematic TV channels worldwide, and have developed over 10 channels worldwide till now for distribution over major platforms, including cable TV, DTH, IPTV, Web TV and Mobile TV."
EuroNews is Europe's news channel covering world news from a European perspective and broadcasts simultaneously in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. Trace TV is the first multicultural, urban music and lifestyle channel. Luxe TV is the first full HDTV channel and is an international TV network dedicated to the luxury world, covering six luxury sectors like real estate and home design, sports and leisure, hotels and gastronomy, beauty and fashion, cars and yachting, and jewellery and watches. While, C Music is an international classical 'music video' channel and takes a pop style approach to the presentation of classical music, as well as other related genres such as chill-out cinema and crossovers.
Home Cable operates cable systems that have an estimated market value of over Rs 50 million with an ISO certification and under license by the I&B Ministry to provide digital CAS in notified areas of New Delhi. Home Cable provides basic cable TV, Digital Cable with CAS and have also setup state of the art MPEG 2 IPTV Network operating centre to simultaneously provide IPTV services, ready to roll by May end.
