    National Geographic Digital Media has announced it is extending its catalogue of award-winning, short form segments on lightning, hurricanes and tornados; environmental news; and a video series with tips on living a greener life produced for Nationalgeographic.com and the Web to the millions of YouTube users. The agreement with YouTube, the leader in online video, will enable the YouTube community to access compelling video highlights from the wide variety of programming produced by National Geographic at http://www.youtube.com/nationalgeographic.

    Featuring Web-exclusive video clips of animal survival and news as well as Atmospheres, National Geographic's experimental series of incredible scenes of beauty around the world , YouTube fans will have access to an extensive library of quality National Geographic content. Whether it's watching animals in their natural habitats on Crittercam and the Wild Chronicles series, or experiencing the thunderous tornado ripping through the Kansas plains or learning the history of an ancient Maya city, the YouTube community will be able to easily view, rate, comment and share favorite National Geographic clips.
