After four months and a relentless search, by the four judges it is the viewers who have picked 11 finalists from the 28 in the Piano round, who they believe have the potential to become the Indian Idol.

Indian Idol is all about finding that one Bharat Ki Shaan and the destination is nearer with the Top 11 having been decided. However, there is hope for the 18 who were out in the Piano Round. The best 6 from the 18 ousted contestants will be given a chance at the 'Wild Card' entry. The panel of judges - Javed Akhtar, Alisha Chinai, Annu Malek and Udit Narayan have a tough task ahead of them in short-listing the lucky 6.

The 'Wild Card' contenders will have to give their best and perform as this would be their last chance to fame, fortune and moving closer to chasing the dream title of being the nation's third Indian Idol. Their 'riaz', perfect 'sur' and choice of song along with all the 'matkas' and 'jhatkas' will translate into viewers votes which can save them and give them that coveted place in the Gala Round.

Once again the viewers have the tough task of carefully watching and rating their electrifying performances thus giving them a second chance to be one of the finalists of Indian Idol 3. Two lucky Wild Cards will join the 11 short listed finalists for a shot at the title of Indian Idol 3.

In less than 3 days from now the 18 eliminated contestants will perform and six lucky contestants will be handpicked by the judges to have the chance to be a part of the Gala Round.

Commenting on the Wild Card entry, Albert Almeida, Executive Vice-President and Business Head, Sony Entertainment Television said, "The show has now reached a very exciting stage where we already have the Top 11 contestants. We would now like to give a final opportunity to two talented singers, who might have been left behind in this riveting journey. The 'Wild Card' entries are designed to give good talent that may have been eliminated a second chance. The process promises to be fun, exciting, entertaining and emotional as 2 talented singers will join the journey of becoming the country's third Indian Idol."

Speaking about the Wild Card entry, distinguished lyricist and Indian Idol judge Javed Akhtar, said "Indian Idol has captured the imagination of millions of viewers and this is a magnificent platform for aspiring youngsters. The viewers have chosen their Top 11. Indian Idol now gives the viewers a second chance to right a possible wrong and choose two contestants who have been ousted in this journey. I strongly appeal to the viewers to please vote for the right contestant… Sahi Chunoge to acha sunoge."
