    Amrita TV launches 'Super Star Global'

    After the success of 'Super Star' and 'Super Star Junior', the next edition of Amrita TV's music talent hunt show, 'Super Star Global' will have a worldwide canvas with auditions in California, London, Dubai, Bangalore besides different cities in Kerala. This is a result of the feedback from its audiences watching the channel in countries across the globe like US, UK,E urope and Middle East.

    In tune with the character of the show, the winner of 'Super Star Global' drives home a coveted Mercedes Benz. 'Super Star Global' will be mounted on spectacular new sets and will start being aired from July 07. Like all reality shows of Amrita TV, programme innovation and differentiation will be the hallmark of 'Super Star Global' which is branded by Lux.

    The auditions for California are scheduled on July 6, London on July 8 and Dubai on June 22; while it will be on June 24 in Bangalore and June/July in Kerala centres. From the thousands of aspirants, a few hundred will be shortlisted for the final auditions in Trivandrum; from where the final band of contestants will be selected who will particpate in the exciting show.

    At the Kerala State Government Awards for excellence in television for the year 2006, announced in June '07, Amrita TV bagged 11 Awards, the highest amongst all Malayalam TV channels.This is the second year in a row that Amrita TV has topped the awards list, last year also, Amrita TV had been presented with the maximum number of awards.
