    Amrita TV launches new reality show 'Best Actor'

    Amrita TV, the 24-hour Malayalam satellite channel with a global footprint, has launched a new reality show 'Best Actor'. The show will be a talent hunt to discover the person in the 18-35 age-group with the winner bagging a trip to Hollywood. The channel claims that this it is a high energy, professional show with noted personalities participating in the show.

    'Best Actor' envisages a nationwide preliminary screen test to be conducted at Mumbai (July 21, 22), Bangalore (July 25, 26), Chennai (July 29, 30),Thrissur (Aug 2-4) and Trivandrum (Aug.6-9) by jury comprising celebrated film makers and artists. The main criteria for the prelimineray selection process will be versatile acting talent of the aspirants, followed by a final screen test in Trivandrum which will identify the contestants who will compete for the 'Best Actor' mantle.

    A residential acting workshop will be conducted by Amrita TV to test the skills and talent of contestants shortlisted from the nationwide screening process. The show will be telecasted in the prime time slot, six days a week and the elimination will be through public/sms voting.
