Televisionpoint.com Correspondent Bharat Bhushan, Editor, 'The Telegraph' Delhi, has joined the India Today Group as Editor for its proposed English daily. The group had recently entered into a joint venture agreement with Associated Newspapers (ANL), publishers of the Daily Mail of UK.
Bhushan has an experience of more than 20 years in journalism. He has worked in leading national dailies such as 'The Times of India', 'Hindustan Times', 'Indian Express' besides 'The Telegraph'. He was also the Executive Producer, BS TV and ran the television division of 'Business Standard' from February 2001 to March 2002. Bhushan has over the years made a name as a writer and reporter on foreign policy and national politics.
Said Bhushan, "'The Telegraph' was a great place to work in. There was a lot of freedom because Telegraph is a reporters' newspaper. As for the new company, I am very enthusiastic to carry forward my responsibilities as a editor."
Meanwhile, Kingshuk Mukherjee, Editor, 'Today', the afternoon tabloid from the India Today Group, has been designated as Managing Editor for the morninger. |
