In a bid to strengthen its weekday slot, Sony Entertainment Television (SET) has beefed up its prime time programming, with the launch of a new fiction show Hum Ladkiyan, which will start airing from October 13 at 8:30 pm Monday-Thursday.

Producer Anirudh Pathak's Emotion Pictures produces Hum Ladkiyan, which depicts the lives, aspirations, friendship, desires and needs of four small town girls - Pooja, Sapna, Alka and Ajju.

Sanjay Upadhyay, creative head, SET India, said, "Hum Ladkiyan is a relatable story that will cut across all age groups. The show takes us to our roots and reasserts our belief in our values - bonding with family, life with neighbour."

Sony will also launch another fiction show at the 8 pm slot about a young girl. This will make the weekday prime time (8 pm-11 pm) band complete with all fresh episodes.
