Mayajaal's Jai Vigneshwar talks about Gen Next

After their 3 D fare Gulliver's Travels, Mayajaal has come up with a 2D animation film based on the beloved, chubby god, Ganesha, who is everybody's buddy.

Compatible with digital platforms, Jai Vigneshwar which released on October 2 in digital screens, is a 75- minute mythological film aimed at the Gen Next. It combines modern technology, with the everlasting appeal of delving into comic books, a pleasure that is a social heirloom passed down over generations.

The sporty exploits of Ganesha is one that no child (adults included) tires of, and these are now being retold in a fresh and feisty manner, in Jai Vigneshwar. The story of the God of good beginnings, who as a child lost his head but not his wit, has been made using flash based animation technology. Nearly 150 technicians worked for six months on the project.

The story delves into the world of Lord Ganesha, showcasing some of his 'known' and 'unknown' tales. Lord Ganesha is a sweet personality with a sprinkling of naughtiness and a great love for his father Lord Shiva. Every incident revolves around the boons given by Lord Shiva, which in turn creates havoc and chaos and sometimes even danger. In each event, Ganesha sweetly diffuses the situation with great wit and wisdom.

Speaking to Televisionpoint.com, Udeep of Mayajaal, who has produced the pioneering 2D film, says, "It closely narrates the bonding of Shiva and Ganesha, which has never been so far explored in the big-screen entertainment sector. The film is targeted at the family audience and is sure to find a place in the hearts of children."

James Clifford and Rajnini C have directed the film, while Leo Menezes has taken care of animation direction. Music is by Ganesh Ramanaa.
