Social Media, Kalaignar TV joice with Illamai Saravedi

Social Media and Kalaignar TV have roped in popular playback singers from Kollywood to perform before a 4,000 audience on October 18 in Chennai as part of a musical event called Illamai Saravedi, which would be later aired on Kalaignar TV as one of the Diwali specials.
K Sujit Kumar, director, Social Media, says, "The promotion is huge and the time is apt. This is a time when people are in a relaxed, festive and enjoyable mood. We have started an on-air SMS contest, wherein viewers get an invite to watch the show live on ground. This initiative is supported by print ads and radio spots, giving a complete 360-degree visibility and required excitement for the event."
The artistes who would perform include playback signers like Karthik, Benny Dayal, Jessie Gift, Suchitra, Chinmayai, Deepa Mariam and Belly Raj. Popular celebrity dance show couples from Kalaignar TV's Manada Mayilada show – Lokesh and Suji Bala, and Ranjeet and Aiswarya, besides several comedians would also perform on the occasion.
Social Media and Kalaignar TV had earlier joined hands to organise the first ever Tamil music awards, which was later telecast on Isaiaruvi, Kalaignar TV's music channel.
