MySpace partners Star Plus for Nach Baliye

Televisionpoint.com Correspondent | Mumbai MySpace, the social networking website of News Corp, has partnered with Star Plus for its newly launched reality dance shows Nach Baliye. The former has become the official website for the competition and will offer viewers content including videos and photos of the 'jodis' (couples) and judges.
The show kicked off on Friday and features Hindi film actors Karisma Kapur and Arjun Rampal and director-choreographer Farah Khan as judges. Each of the celebrities has their own profile page and MySpace users can add them as friends on their list.
They also have their blogs on which users can comment. Also, for the first time, viewers of the show will be able to vote for their favourite 'jodis' through the MySpace site, apart from SMS voting.
Deep Malhotra, director, sales and business development, MySpace India, says, "We are thrilled that Nach Baliye's official online home is now MySpace, this provides viewers with an unique opportunity to engage with their favourite reality show in a way they've never been able to do before."
Malhotra says that Star Plus will be quoting the site in all its promotions for the show and also during the show. An individual URLs of the judges and contestants will be flashed as well on screen.
"MySpace gives the show an digital dimension through the official online community to reach out to wider audience and will also be promoted on the website." Malhotra says. |
