Prabhat Khabar goes mobile with One97 deal

One97 Communication, a telecom application platform company, has announced a strategic deal with eastern India based Hindi daily Prabhat Khabar, to develop a platform for the users to have access to the alerts of local news and entertainment in Bihar and Jharkhand.

R. K. Dutta, general manager, Prabhat Khabar, says, "Prabhat Khabar along with One97 has created a value proposition for consumers, who would like to stay abreast of the happenings around them on a personal medium like mobile."

The consumers would be required to send a SMS to 53030 to avail the services, which would satisfy the long-standing need of locally relevant infotainment for the consumers, while they are on the move.

Vijay Shekhar Sharma, managing director, One97 Communication, said, "The services on board will provide immense opportunity for the newspaper to connect to its readers more personally. It is highly flexible and offers a wide choice for consumers to choose from."
