    Zee TV to launch Choti Bahu on November 03

    Zee TV, the Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC), will launch an new show called Choti Bahu, which promises to offer viewers some exciting fare, from November 03.

    Speaking to Televisionpoint.com, Ajay Bhalwankar, head, programming, Zee TV, says, "Zee TV is constantly involved in research, looking for fresh ideas. Our next big show to debut is Choti Bahu by DJ Creations, which is our effort to come up with issue-based programmes."

    Shri and Rang are the two fiction based shows that will make their appearance on the channel soon. Recently, Zee TV has reshuffled some of its existing shows and made changes in time slots to ensure that viewers stick on the channel.

    The channel shifted its popular show, Jhoomein Jiya Re from Zee Next to Zee TV. Teen Bahuraaniyan was shifted to the afternoon slot, giving way for the recently launched show, Ranbir Rano, airing from Monday to Thursday at 10:30 pm. Naaginn has been moved from its earlier slot of 8:30 pm to the 9 pm slot. Maayka, earlier airing four days a week, is now being aired five days a week.

    As per TAM Media research data for the C&S 4+, HSM audience, in the Hindi GEC space, Star Plus has increased its share of the pie from 23 per cent in Week 41 to 27 per cent last week. Colors, has retained its 19 per cent share, while, Zee TV, is inching closer to second place.

    Sony Entertainment Television retains its share of 9 per cent. Star One is fifth with 7 per cent share, followed by NDTV Imagine with 6 per cent. Sahara One and 9X have managed to grab 5 per cent and 4 per cent share, respectively.
