    BCCL elevates Sujoy Ghosh, Debashish Ghosh & Ranjeet Kate

    Bennett, Coleman & Company Ltd (BCCL) has elevated three of its deputy directors – Sujoy Ghosh, Debashish Ghosh and Ranjeet Kate to directors.

    While Sujoy Ghosh and Debashish Ghosh would continue to report to Bhaskar Das, executive president, response department, and Kate will continue reporting to Ravi Dhariwal, CEO, publishing, BCCL.

    Sujoy Ghosh has been elevated to the post of director and business development head, response, BCCL - West India. With this, he becomes part of the core group and think tank of the response department of BCCL. He has been associated with the Times group since 1993, barring a one year stint at Shoppers Stop during 1994, as deputy GM, marketing.

    As deputy director, Kate had been handling Maharashtra Times and Navbharat Times. With this re-designation, he is now in-charge of all language publications of the Times Group across the country, involving editorial, ad sales and marketing. He has been with the Times Group for the last six years. Prior to joining the Group, Kate had spent 14 years in sales and marketing in companies like Asian Paints, ITC and Marico.

    As a director, Debashish Ghosh will now look after revenue and sales for Eastern region. He also heads corporate functions, alliance and operation, new media and technology. He has 18 years' experience, of which he has spent a total of 16 and a half years with the Times Group. He began his career with Times Group. He then moved to Africa, where he spent the next four and a half years. In his second stint with the Times Group, Ghosh has spent 12 years.

    For the record, the response department is the media sales wing of BCCL, which has an annual turnover of over Rs 2,500 crore. The company is the largest media house in India, with brands like The Times of India, The Economic Times, Femina, Filmfare and others under its umbrella.
