Pyramid Saimira Q2 net profit at Rs 8.7 crore

Pyramid Saimira Theatre, has registered a turnover of Rs 252.25 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008, as compared to Rs 144.16 crore for the same period last year.
The net profit stood at Rs 8.7 crore, as compared to Rs 15.11 crore for the corresponding period last year. The margins were under pressure due to increase in all input cost but the ARPU was maintained at Rs 40.
The company has announced that it will undertake restoration of 250 screens across South India with a budget outlay of Rs 200 crore over a period of 18 months.
