Televisionpoint.com Correspondent | Mumbai The Ministry of Tourism has empanelled 15 creative agencies in all for the global Incredible India campaign. More than 45 agencies pitched for the prestigious account and the advertising spends are estimated to be about Rs 120 crore
The 15 empanelled agencies include Mudra, Lowe, Contract, W+K, Dentsu Marcom, TBWA India, Mercantile Advertising, Stark Communications, Crayons, Critique, Quantum, Basic Four, FS Advertising, IBD India and India Tourism Development Corporation's creative wing (Ashok Creatives).
The 15 agencies have been appointed for a period of two years. Recently, Crayons, Euro RSCG, Span Communications and ZenithOptimedia, were appointed to handle the media duties for Incredible India. All the empanelled agencies will be responsible for crafting creatives for various media, including television, press, radio spots and collaterals.
Jude Fernandes, executive director, Mudra Group, says, "We are absolutely delighted with this win. Our job will be to build a strong presence for brand India, not just in the country but globally too. It's a challenge that the team is looking forward to."
Formulating national policies and programmes, coordinating and supplementing the efforts and activities of various government agencies, state governments, catalyzing private investments, strengthening promotional efforts and analysis are some of the initiatives undertaken by the Ministry of Tourism, headed by the Minister for Tourism & Culture. |
