    News channels air special state election shows

    Over the next few weeks, news channels will brings to its viewers a host of special election shows, which will provide an insight into the relevant issues, gather views and relay the energy associated with the up-coming elections in six states of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Mizoram, Rajasthan and Jamuu & Kashmir

    On NDTV 24x7, Campaign Trail will showcase the power of elections. The show combines live reports, citizens' views and aims to get answers from the policy makers. In its Battle Ground show, leading psychologists and political analysts Dr. Prannoy Roy and Dorab Sopariwala discuss the real story of the elections.

    On NDTV India, the Agla CM Kaun? series takes a trip to the places that will be affected by the new political scenario. Election expert Vinod Dua takes on the politicians one-on-one and gets to the grassroots problems of the common man. Another show Youngtantra will turn its attention towards the youth of our country and through the Jawab Do series, the current chief minister's are pitted against the potential CM and public in a fiery debate.

    "The election shows will objectively present the essence, color and politics of every state in the well known NDTV style. Through our shows we give our viewers a great mix of the hard news and the zest of elections." says Vinod Dua.

    On the other hand, prior to the polling dates, CNN-IBN and IBN7 reporters will take a symbolic tour in the most common and popular form of transportation for the common man. Through its Mera Vote Meri Sarkar show, reporters traveling to various parts of the capital will bring up the opinions of the common people. Both these channels will have elaborate month long programming covering the state elections.

    "The state elections in these important states are a building block to the all important General elections. We will analyze all the strategies and campaigns of different parties, focusing on real issues bothering a state and how these campaigns address these issues on ground level." said Rajdeep Sardesai, editor-in-chief, IBN Network.

    Star News has been running a debate show called Kahiye Netaji under the umbrella of its popular TV show Kaun Banega Mukhyamantri?. The show provides a proper public platform during elections where people can pose direct questions to the top leadership of their state.
