Leo Burnett Mumbai ranks 19th on Ad Age's Creativity list

After winning several laurels at the Cannes (two golds, three bronzes, one silver); One Show (one gold); ADC (two golds), Asia AdFest (two silvers, two bronzes); and Andy Awards (two silvers); Leo Burnett Mumbai now finds itself on Ad Age's Creativity list, an elite list of advertising agencies in the world.

Leo Burnett Mumbai garnered 180 points and is thus ranked 19th on the list, which represents the 'top 20 award-winningest companies'. Leo Burnett Chicago, at No. 15, is the only other Leo Burnett agency to have made it to the list.

Ad Age creates a list of the topmost creative agencies in the world on the basis of certain awards picked up by the agencies during the course of the year. These awards are Cannes, Clios, One Show, AICP, Andy Awards, D&AD, ADC and Asia AdFest.

The results from these events are catalogued according to each award winning agency, writer, art director, creative director, production company, advertiser and network, and a list is drawn up based on points gained for every award won.

Arvind Sharma, chairman, Leo-Burnett India, said, "Leo Burnett's India offices have traditionally been rated as some of the most creative ones in the network several times over. So, while the news of being ranked 19th in the world is huge for the region, this star turn was almost predicted by the network years in advance."

KV Sridhar (Pops), national creative director, Leo-Burnett, said, "The ideas that have got us glory have one thing in common – our humankind approach. Now that we have been selected here, our efforts will be focused to keep our name featured on the list next year as well."
