Linc Pen launches new TVC with Shah Rukh Khan

Linc Pen has kicked off its endorsement deal with Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) by launching a new television commercial (TVC). With the catch line, Zindagi Ke Liye, the TVC has been conceptualised by advertising agency The Republic and has been produced by Red Chillies Entertainment.

Deepak Jalan, managing director, Linc Pen, said, "Roping in Shah Rukh Khan was part of a plan to attract the core target group of the sector - students and the common man. We are very proud to have Shah Rukh Khan as our brand ambassador."

"Khan is someone who personifies style, entertainment and popularity and these values resonate perfectly with our brand attributes as well. Moreover, SRK cuts across age groups and demographics and appeals to a universal audience just like our products and was therefore a natural fit for the brand," Jalan said.

Refusing the disclose the endorsement value, Jalan said, "We consider it to be a worthwhile investment."

Jalan also said the writing instrument industry is a stable one, which does not make abnormal profit from a booming market and does not get affected by an economic slowdown either.

"Our exports amounted to around Rs 38 crore in fiscal year 2008 and in fiscal year 2009, we plan to achieve a Rs 40 crore target." he added.
