| Shailesh Kapoor quits Filmy as business head Thursday, 10 Jul 2008 | |
Televisionpoint.com Correspondent | Mumbai Shailesh Kapoor, business head, Filmy, has called it a day at the Hindi movie channel from Sahara One Media and Entertainment stable. Kapoor is currently serving out the notice period at Filmy, and plans to start his own venture in the entertainment business. In July last year, Kapoor, who was heading content and marketing for the channel, has been elevated as business head, post the departure of Ashutosh. He was instrumental in creating various properties for the Filmy channel in the past few years. Prior to Filmy, Kapoor was with Zoom TV as marketing head. He began his career in 1999 at Sony Entertainment Television as brand management trainee. He then moved to Indya.com, where he took charge of their movies and music portals. In 2002, he joined Zee Cinema as its marketing head, before moving on to Zoom in February 2004. | |
