Neeraja Kale, business head, Marching Ants has joined Law & Kenneth as senior vice-president (SVP). She will be based in Mumbai and report to Anil S Nair, chief executive officer and managing partner, Law & Kenneth.

In her new role, Kale will spearhead the new business development functionl. Nair says, "Neeraja will add on to the market perspective as well as communication perspective; its a significant recruitment for us. Her role will be more as a national resource, besides contributing to major brands such as ITC."

Kale has an experience of about 14 years in the marketing and advertising domain and has worked for various agencies and brands. An MBA from Pune University, she started her career in 1995 with O&M Mumbai (now Ogilvy India) as an account executive. Subsequently, she moved to Publicis Zen in 1999, handling its international businesses such as L'Oreal.

Her next move came in 2001 when she moved to the client side and joined L'Oreal as group product manager, Garnier. In mid 2002, she had her second experience of working on the client side when she joined Mattel Toys, looking after the Barbie brand.

After a taste of the client side and some good marketing experience, Kale says she started missing the agency life. This prompted her to join McCann Erickson as brand services director, where she stayed put for three years, working on brands such as Stayfree, Western Union and Babool, apart from new businesses.

Kale also had a brief stint at Everest Delhi, (2005-06) and later at McCann Bangalore. She joined Marching Ants in 2007. She has spearheaded many brand launches and has played an active part in building businesses and teams for the various organisations she has worked for.
